The rooms here are quiet, spacious, and equipped with a safe, mini-bar, and central heating; there are fantastic food choices for a continental breakfast, and the personnel are attentive and caring.

The venue is spotlessly clean, with unbeatable and magnificent location not far from museums and other places of interests. Rooms are silent with nostalgic window to yard, food is great. The staff is accommodating, amiable.

Silent room & exceptionally comfortable bed. Exceptionally nice staff in the whole hotel. Location just next door to the Hauptbahnhof, and a nice area. For tea or coffee visit Ca'puccino nearby;))

It was nice to be in a modern, old-style Viennese building.

Price (165 eur for 3 nights for a double room, breakfast included) is very good. Location is great, close to public transportation and all facilities. Room (number 27) with no vie but very calm (as the hotel is on the big street it was a good surprise). It is a good quality 3 stars hotel.
The television is extremely small. My room was not cleaned up during my 3 days stay.

We had a great 3-night stay at this place, the rooms were cozy and spacious, and we appreciated the helpful sightseeing information and free Wi-Fi.

Clean nice rooms, breakfast is typically Austrian and the proximity to the U-Bahn makes it an attractive value for money location.
The fon WiFi hotstop signal was too weak in my room and there is no alternative. Had to go to the reception to surf the web.

I was given a quiet room, which was very important for me. I was also impressed with the general quietness in the hotel.
There was little air conditioning in my room which mattered because it was very hot in Vienna during my short stay.

The large and quiet rooms have a charming view of the courtyard, and the helpful staff provided plenty of information in a caring manner.

I attended a conference in Vienna and was looking for a hotel located within walking distance from the University. Even if "Am Schottenpoint" hotel had relatively few reviews on Booked.net, these were very convincing. Easy to reach via tramcar, the hotel lies on the animated WaehringerStrasse, where its entrance might pass unnoticed (red over an inconspicuous apartment-type entrance). Once inside, there's the surprise of the old-style corridor with mouldings and paintings fom the late 1800s, then a buzz, and the cosy reception and welcoming staff. I took a single-ocupancy double room (rated 54 eur). The room is large (about 16mp), clean (and cleaned daily, including the replacement of towels), and quiet (facing the greenery of what seemed an empty backyard). As all of the hotel rooms face this yard (rather than the street), they must be equally quiet. The bed was good an the mattress of great quality. There were plenty of lights (2 bedside lamps, a stand lamp by the table). There is a real writing desk (beside the coffee table) with drawers. Furniture of solid real wood. Two large cupboards with hangers. I loved the electric kettle, with complimentary teabags (most continental hotels are reluctant to adopt this good English habit). There's a well stocked minibar -- big enough to let you store your own bottles of water, or some pastry. Tv has cnn, bbc and TV5Europe. A real bathroom, well ventilated by fan (a tad noisy). The shower is neatly separated from the rest (sliding door). The usual expendables: shower cap, small hygiene products. Nice staff, helpful. Great breakfast in cosy room: 2 types of salami, ham, 2 cheddar cheese, Camembert, fruit (apples, peaches), fruit juice, 6 types of cornflakes, yogurt, tea/coffee, cake --all fresh, in nice presentation. You can toast your bread or boil eggs.
As I did not drive to Vienna, I was not confronted with the parking issue. Remember that the neighboring streets are busy and only short (2- hour) parking is permitted, which means you will need to pay extra to park your car. Very few niggles with this hotel: the tv is on the small size (and has a minimalistic remote...). There is no hair drier in the room (I guess you might get it from the reception...). For eco (- logical/nomical) reasons, there is no real soap but just that shower+shampoo thing that takes a lot of water to cleanse of your body. But these are just minor niggles, otherwise this hotel is a little gem, very conveniently located (close to Votivkirche, close to the UNiversity and the Townhall & Parliament building). One more point: even if the receptionist leaves at midnight, you may still enter the hotel --the buzzer button will open the door for you (I was apprehensive of not being able to enter the hotel past midnight). Highly recommended.

My room was nice, and the breakfast was very good.
The entrance to the hotel is a bit off-putting, at least before you know that on the inside it is much better.
